Recent Changes
With regards to the necessity of obtaining work residence permit in Georgia, please be advised as follows:

General rule is that the citizens of EU, the US and number of other states do not need visa/residence permit to enter and stay in Georgia up to 365 days. Lawful stay in Georgia implies the rights of foreigners to work without obtaining additional permits for employment purposes. Despite this, according to the new Law on Labor Migration and the respective Resolution of Government of Georgia which is applicable from November 1, 2015, legal entities employing expats should comply with the following rules:
